A walkway space with the theme ‘Journey of the 5 Senses’ is designed in the form of semi-open architecture by using a spatial type based on an interpretation of a song‘s lyrics from Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. With 50m length within 10 cubic metres of a walkway, a linear design is developed from the lyrics.
‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ is a six-minute suite; it is sequential, diverse song without a chorus. It consists of an intro, a ballad segment, an operatic passage, a hard rock part and a reflective coda. Bohemian Rhapsody was a controversy back in its day as some people did not even regard it as a song. The structure intends to reflect the song by introducing a continuous walkway without a stopping point. The entrance is the exit, therefore the pathway loops from end to end.
